Compared to the standard Pro-Mix BX formula, this High Porosity (HP) mix offers lower water retention and superior drainage, making it ideal for water-sensitive crops, rooting cuttings, and low-light conditions. Each compressed 3.8 cubic foot bale expands to yield approximately 7 cubic feet of loose, high-quality growing medium. A full pallet of 30 bales yields approximately 210 cubic feet of loose medium, which is sufficient to fill approximately 300 standard 5-gallon nursery pots (calculated at roughly 0.7 cubic feet of soil per trade 5-gallon pot). This formula features a precise ratio of 65–75% Canadian Sphagnum peat moss and 25–35% horticultural-grade perlite. To support early plant establishment, it includes a mild, transitional starter nutrient charge, allowing growers to easily implement custom feeding strategies. The initial pH is carefully adjusted and buffered to 5.2–6.2 using dolomitic and calcitic limestone, with a low initial EC of <0.35 mmhos/cm. The active mycorrhizae (Glomus intraradices) remain viable for up to 2 years in the bag. To maintain maximum viability of the active mycorrhizae, store the bales in a dry, temperature-controlled indoor environment protected from direct sunlight and weather exposure. This bulk offering includes 30 compressed bales secured on a single pallet with free freight shipping included to both commercial and residential addresses capable of accommodating a standard 53-foot freight truck. There are no extra fees for residential delivery or liftgate service; however, liftgate delivery must be requested and coordinated prior to shipment to ensure a seamless delivery. The total shipping weight of the pallet is approximately 1,800 to 2,000 lbs, with standard dimensions of 40" W x 48" L x 54" H. While free shipping is included, a forklift or loading dock is highly recommended for unloading if liftgate service is not pre-arranged.
