Formulated by Aurora Innovations, Formula 707 differs from standard Roots Organics potting soil by featuring a higher water-holding capacity, less perlite and pumice, and a lighter initial nutrient charge. This makes it ideal for large container gardening where moisture retention is critical. It is not a "hot" soil; instead, it contains a gentle organic amendment package that supports plants for the first 10 to 14 days, after which you should begin your regular fertilizer program. The average pH of this mix ranges from 5.5 to 6.5, with a low-to-medium Electrical Conductivity (EC) of 0.8 to 1.5 mS/cm, providing a safe, stable foundation for root development. This premium mix is CDFA registered and OMRI Listed for organic gardening.
This soil is ready to use directly out of the bag and does not require additional perlite or drainage amendments, though growers can add them to customize drainage.
